Cheetahs...graceful, sleek creatures.


These animals look like cats but they have a unique talent speed.
The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world with the top speed of 100-120 km per hour.
Cheetahs usually live in small groups but are most commonly known to live and travel alone..


Appearance and length.
The cheetah has many black spots all over their shiny blonde coat.
The cheetah can grow up to 70-86 cm from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail.
The cheetah have long legs that help with their uniqueness.
The cheetah have small skinny head with razor sharp retractable claws.


Food and weight.
The cheetah eats small and medium size animals such as hares,
impalas, wildebeest calves and gazelles.
The cheetahs main source of food is thomson gazelles.
Cheetahs also strike warthogs near wetlands. Cheetahs weigh between 20-70 kilograms.


Habitat
Cheetahs can be found in dry forest, grasslands and open plains.
Cheetahs usually rest near trees to stay cool in the shade from the burning rays of the sun.
Cheetahs prefer living in open areas so they can hunt and find their prey easier.


Conclusion
There are only 6,800 cheetahs left living in wild africa.
The population of cheetahs is decreasing. We Need to care and protect these unique animals.
